Oh, my poor truck
I spent all of last Sunday afternoon washing and polishing my truck ... then I went on a quick trip to Faro ....
for all of those that are wondering, no it was not raining out here. To keep our roads semi dust-free and to avoid the dreaded washboard effect on the roads, they are sprayed with a calcium-lime solution (to which I think is referred to as calcium hydroxide to the rest of the world).
So, yet again, this weekend, I will be outside, baking in the sun (if we have sun) soaking off this muddy mess off of Gates, the truck.

That stuff makes a mess of your vehicle. After driving the Dempster after a long dry spell you appreciate it more, however.
True true, I do appreciate it with the drive I take from Ross to Faro ... I just think they should also have pressure washers plugged in along the way for us to spray down :-) ... or is that too much to wish for?
Yikes! Don't worry, though, Kendra. You're in good company. Our mini-van still has quite a lot of mud on it from when we were down in Janvier.....and we left the place almost 2 months ago. It was so embarassing when we would drive up to Ft. Mac here in the past and see all the relatively clean vehicles and ours stuck out like a sore thumb with all the muck on it which really becomes some sort of cement once it dries on.
