I know what you mean Morena. Every time I landed back in the south I always ran out and hugged a tree once I got out of the airport .. and then promptly popped some Reactine.
In August 2007, I packed up my bags and moved all the way up North, way above the treeline, way above the Arctic Circle to be a teacher in the small Northern community of Arctic Bay.
This August (2009) I relocated to the small Northern Yukon town of Ross River where I will be teaching grade 5/6
This is a blogumentary of my adventure and experiences up North in the Yukon.

A rainbow and trees. That made my night. Sometimes I forget what trees look like. Dispite my allergies it's the trees that I miss most.
